I just wanted to share this experience…

Of all my tomatoes plants which I have now started to clear since the cold is impending, I have kept a few plants eradicated and put them on the side just because they had a few green tomatoes each and I thought I would give them a chance to ripen.

Anyway the plants have now dried, the tomatoes are nice and red and the taste of them is absolutely fabulous! I don’t think I have ever experienced such a concentrated taste before. Last but not least their colour is also concentrated.

So maybe next year I should eradicate them all!:happydance:

You did what to the plants Mira?:)

Do you mean you pulled the plants up and left the tomatoes on them?

      Sounds good whatever you did:dbgrtmb:

      Ahh,

Just pulled up would do there, eradicate you would use more for if you had just dropped a Nuclear Bomb on them or swept them off the face of the planet:dbgrtmb:

Glad you liked the flavour, my car dried ones are like that too:thumbsup:

That rings a bell,:WINK1: not done this in years but always used to pull up the plants about mid October and hang them up in the shed.

Could pick ripe toms for at least another month or more that way.

Nice work...they sound fantastic! Makes sense to let them ripen indoors instead of out in the harsh elements.
