We have a lovely Eucalypts which is growing rapidly!!
My parents also love it so thought for Christmas could buy them one. Would I still be able to purchase one at this time of the year and probably best to keep inside until Spring, any advice appreciated. Thanks

Hi, Eucalyptus of course are trees and most varieties are hardy in England. The only exception being E globulus, the one with blue/grey leaves that smell strongly of Eucalyptus. This variety will not withstand very harsh winters. The other varieties are generally very hardy and are best purchased and planted during early spring (similar to other evergreens like conifers). I dare say you could get away with one as a Christmas pressy if it were container grown
