:D Oh I have Cajary, spent allot of my childhood in the New Forest area. A magical area for me... :thmb:

It is nice to look up & see where a person is based, but I also respect some peoples privacy.. I will always ask them where they are if I don't know... :)

I do agree about having some location information. In fairness to Has Been, most of us have heard of Devon, and surely we have heard of the nice Park they have on the coast down there. :D

If you mention your closest town, I don't think you give away much information.

    Hi cajary,

I'll wave to you as I go by :gnthb: :hehe:. I shall be travelling from Southampton to Bournemouth at the weekend and we may pop into Hythe on the way. The New Forest area is lovely. :thmb:

But your profile says you are in South Yorkshire???? :lollol:

I can see the point to knowing someone's general location - not sure what mine says, but will amend it :) as I KNOW I'm going to be asking questions come spring......

Not quite the same as having 1st hand knowledge Marley, the weather is very unpredictable, at least it is by us, as we are on the borders of 4 counties, and the forcasters very often get it wrong for our area. But in general terms you are right.

I always love those maps. I'm amazed that the southern-most tips of Ireland are as mild as Cornwall (I know, the Gulfstream). However they also get a huge amount of rain!

The Zones are based on a Fahrenheit scale of an arbitrary 5 degree differential. Is there a zoning based on centigrade or is it celsius.

Well i'm a 9a, but apart from the last two winters its been more like 9b.

My location has been suitably updated
