      Hiya *dim*

It's not actually so amazing. The guitar is 'tuned', so it's just a case of picking out some notes in the scale to make up a tune. Don't get me wrong, she's very good, but amazing? No

"Fantasy ends, where knowledge begins" where the words uttered to me when a mate passed me a guitar to hold and play for the first time. He was dead right too, once you can pick out a tune it all becomes quite easy, or easier should I say.

The women is very good, gets a great tune out of the guitar in an interesting way, that makes it enjoyable to watch, I do like her back of the hand neck slides and over animated hammer ons..great stuff!

        Steve...:)

:yess: dim, that really is great.. She is playing it a little like their Ngomi or the Kora I think.. It is also tuned like they tune their instruments... her hand movements are superb... When they have nothing & something we toss away becomes such a wonderful instrument to them in their hands it is wonderful to see... The pleasure & joy on her face is a joy for us to see as well... Almost infectious... Thanks so much dim I really did enjoy that... :yess: :yess:

          Hi again.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that those that have little can get such joy from creating music.
I was speaking purely from an analytical point of view.:o

It's not a woman playing the guitar, it's a man.

Botswana Music Guitar - Ronnie - "Malome" - YouTube

“Ronnie Moipolai from Kopong village in the Kweneng district 50 km west of the capitol Gaborone. He is 29 years old and goes around the shebeens selling and playing his songs for 5Pula each (80dollarcents). He learned guitar from his now late father, has 3 brothers that also play guitar (KB is one of them), has also a big sister and plenty of kids in the yard. Nobody has a formal job and his mother sells Chibuku beer and firewood they get from the bush trying to make ends meet.”
