Hi folks. I moved into a new home just before Christmas, and the builders laid turf as part of the build. I think it's been down since about November.

We've not been given any advice from the builders about caring for the lawn, and friends and family I've asked have just said to leave it to grow - but I'm not so sure.

Is there anything I should be doing to help it? I've noticed that there are some faded patches in places, and the edges next to the path are brown, although I think the grit put down in the winter did that.

Should I be watering it just now, even though it's winter and quite cold recently?

as for the salt just hang fire for now, if the salt has killed grass it may be worth holding off spwing any new untill the soil is free of the salt.....Im afraid it will be very difficult to advise as to when this will be

Great, thanks for the advice. So I just really need to leave it till the spring and it'll start to grow more.
