Me too and I must say I object very strongly to it too. If we are going to be attacked like this then I shall close my association with this site.

No I didn't Cajary - is the person who sent it a member? Wondering if it's a case of a new member signing up and pm'ing - don't know how else pm's would be sent?

I have, and I`ve complained strongly to Daisees. There needs to be tighter controls.

Ahh! C'mon guys. This is only cyber-space nonsense. Just hit the "delete" button and report it. Nobody is going to turn up on your front door and threaten you. :) If people can hack into NASA anyone can get into any system.:)

Sorry Caj, but this is just one of a series of issues quite a few of us are having at the moment.

I am fuming. I allow my twelve year old daughter access to this forum because I had thought it was of a certain calibre, quite clearly it isn't. She followed the weed world link featured on here and you can imagine the resulting problems I have had.

This weed world nonsense is quite bad enough by itself but now I am accosted with links for "sexy females in your area" it's too much, it really is. I have actively encouraged my daughters ( 12yrs and 7yrs) to visit here to help them learn about gardening-I absolutely will never allow my children on here again.

I haven't taken a screencap I don't know how to do one, but if someone can let me know I will be able to show you examples of the links I have seen on here just in the last few days.

Hi lolli. Nothing I say now is meant to offend. I'm very new to this technology :) Before I even started to use it I looked into it. I was aware from the start that World wide net means exactly that. Everybody, even scum like peados can use it to their advantage. Everybody can use it for whatever purpose they choose. I wouldn't dream of letting my g-children use it unless I was there. A bit like showing a 12 yr. old how to prune plants but knowing, if you leave them alone, they will try to see how sharp secatours are on their skin!! I keep nothing on my computer that is important.
As far as I'm concerned it's a useful scource of information, other than that, it's a toy for people who are far cleverer than me.:)

I most definitely do not take offence with anything you have said Caj-far from it in fact. Very sensible, pragmatic and reasonable observations.

Lollipop to do a screen capture, just press shift and 'print screen' (usually located as an upper case choice on the top right hand side of your keyboard). It takes a picture of the view on your screen at the time. Then go into something simple like microsoft word, and 'paste' the image into the document, save your document. Hope this helps.

I believe that the ads seen on the site have a direct correlation to the posts made on the thread you are reading. The w e e d ad will be generated because of the use of that word in posts. Same with any of the girly ads, they will be generated because someone has used a word that is linked to the advertisers search list.

So basically, if you see a post that contains anything that might be questionable, the only way to deal with it is to report and have it moderated.
