Went into Deansgate Manchester on thursday to look at the royal train and I happened to see both Prince Charles and The Duchess Of Cornwall as they were leaving the science museum, which was nice.

Below are a couple of shots of Royal Train.

i was a fireman on the Royal Train several years ago (in the age of steam). the train departed from Buchanan St Station Glasgow. on board were the Queen and Prince Philip and their entourage ,and there were quite a few, to say the least. the Queen and Prince Philip where on the platform waving to the crowds ,i was on the platform doing some final checks . i looked at the Queen and Prince Philip as they walked to their Coach ,caught their eye and got a big wave from the both of them !! MY MOMENT OF FAME! ! its funny when something happens to you in a moment how you react ,when they waved, i gave them a wave of my hand, like i would have given a work mate  or as if they were my next door nieghbours  music.

I was recently due to be presented to HRH Princess Anne, but due to ONE persons attitude towards me while turning my mobile phone OFF and two hours before her arrival, it never took place, because I walked out in dispute at the way I was told: "No cameras or mobiles." by the Instructor, and I hadn't been able to attend the venue through illness for a few weeks, so was NEVER informed of this sudden and New H&S Rule, NOBODY else had been told about either.

Before being 'Persuaded' to take Early Retirement from the railway, I had Tremendous pleasure in 'Escorting' as such, the Late HRH Princess Margaret on numerous occasions, with her even greeting me when she boarded the train I had to work.

I only Once escorted HRH Prince Phillip and glad it was the Only one. I will say no more about Him and leave it to your imagination as to why.
