    Hello!
I bought some of the above yesterday, and according to JBA seed pots, they say they should be lifted before they reach full maturity to avoid cracking. What does that mean? Should I dig them up at 11 weeks not 12 or is that not full maturity?
    Ta, Liz

Hi Liz, Rocket are a First Early spud so you will get a nice early crop. If you leave them too long in the ground the tubers tend to split. I don't think a week or two will make any difference. They mean if you leave them in the ground till late August you might get the problem.

      they recommend green top lifting.
I bought a few kilo of these because they are very quick from plant to harvest, that way they are out before I want the ground for the next veg.

I've grown Rocket for the last 3 years and always been able to lift around the beginning of June after a late Feb/early March planting. Never had a problem with them.

They don't have a lot of flowers, but when the odd one begins to fade its time to lift, I also noticed the top growth stops growing as they near 'maturity'.

        Good Luck
