Unknown shrub needs ID please

    If someone could ID the following shrub, i would be really grateful. I have no clues as to what it is. Picture taken today (Feb 18th) Many thanks, Tree

    Forgot to say, I brought it in from outdoors and it was wet, so the leaves aren't quite as glossy usually. Cheers :dbgrtmb:

          Thanks guys. It certainly does look like a camelia, but I don't remember getting one as part of a load of garden freebies I got off freecycle last year.
          A few questions if i may -

          1) I don't think it'll last long in the tiny pot it's in, so should i repot it now? or wait to see if it flowers? Judging by the pic do you think it needs repotting soonish?
          2) If so, should i use ericaceous soil based on it might be a camelia? I don't want to kill it be putting it in a soil type not suited.

          Still think its a camelia, looking at that pot I think it'll be fine for a while yet; keep an eye on the roots and when they begin circling the pot, pot it up to the next size. The leaves look healthy at the moment, but if they start yellowing then feed it with a specialist food for acid loving plants and pot it up in some ericacious compost...:dbgrtmb:
