      We had a couple of budgies years ago,

      One was called bfer yes for blue
      Other was called dfer coz it dangled from its perch like a bat.

      We could not get it out of this habit and lived for 5years like this with his mate.
      They did however like to fly round the room on the odd occasion we let them out,(daily) via my eldest.
      Still as all life they came and went to the great aviary in the sky.
