Has anyone caught this recent series hosted by Sarah Raven? The series highlights a campaign headed by Sarah to help our ever decreasing polinating insect population. The decrease of wildflower meadows over the last few decades is at around 98%, that's staggering to say the least. The three programmes tackle various issues to do with the subject and Sarah and experts supply the information in a relaxed manner whilst also providing the easy solutions/ The MOST amazing thing of all is as she comes into contact with various bodies or groups and once she has explained what she is trying to achieve, she meets no resistance, maybe a little scepticism at first, that soon dissipates.

If you have missed it I would heartily recommend you watch all three of the hour long programmes whilst you still can on the BBC's iplayer.

The three programmes are titled thus

    1. Villages, Farms and Countryside
    2. Towns, Gardens and Britain in Bloom
    3. Cities

    And can be viewed here.

BBC iPlayer - Bees, Butterflies and Blooms: Villages, Farms and Countryside

Is this another ploy to get us all off GC for three hours while you do "Naughty Things" again?

Don't think we've forgotten the last time when you told us there was something good on Channel 4 & the time we'd got back you'd taken all the light bulbs out:nono::D:WINK1:

i reckon the councils will go for it esp if its saving money and to me just thinking how many spots they could plant wild flowers on wasted ground in manchester(where im originally from) would take parts of it from hovel to heaven!
me and jessie(6yr old daughter) threw foxglove and poppy seeds along the lanes here last yr and there are still more spots on our five pits trails that have space for more wild flowers :)
seedaholic are going to be receiving some more bulks buys on the wild flower seed section from me this week  x

I thought it was quite interesting - I'm wary of buying wild flower seeds the last packets I got were 90% ox-eye daisy and 10% weeds
