The first of my daffodils have opened today, about a fortnight ahead of the norm. :)

Are anyone elses in bloom yet?

I saw some purple litter on my front lawn yesterday. I didn't get round to picking it up. Then today I noticed this purple piece of later had grown a bit larger, and had also acquired a few friends. A closer inspection revealed that it wasn't litter at all, it is some flowers. I put some bulbs in the lawn last year and then sort of forgot about them.

They will be Crocuss's or crocusii ,not sure on the plural of crocus :D. I have 2 or 3 out on my lawn . The lawns at work are full of them , a very pretty flower which is the harbinger of spring :yess:The daffs I have in containers are doing great. The daffs I have put once more into my lawn are struggling with a capital STR !!:gaagh:I really do not know why my lawn bulbs perform so feebly

My first one opened in January just before the cold snap. I think it may have killed the others off because nothing since.

I presume so. I bought a load of mixed bulbs last year when I think about it. The purple splodges are the only ones in the lawn.

Dublin Bay still flowering here, been going since last May. I'd like her to rest. I need her to rest! She's a show stopper, she can't burn herself out as she is!

Yes about a month ago some daffs, crocus and snowdrops. But looks like, normal cold weather is coming our way, good. So what is up will now frost out soon. Just hope no buds will freeze on the hydranges etc.

I live quite far North ans already the Daffs are opening. I also have Anemone opening beside them. They are Purple with Yellow centre and look stunning next to the Daffs. I dont know what Anemone it is - mayb someone can give me some hints on identification because they were planted before I came to this garden
