Houseplants - BBC Gardeners' World seeks enthusiast for potential TV feature

Calling all devoted interior horticulturists!

We at Gardeners' World are searching for someone who is so keen on houseplants that perhaps their living room has more foliage than wallpaper, or perhaps their airing cupboard is more full of germinating seeds than drying clothes!

Basically, if plants have taken over your house and your life, and you most definitely like to bring the outdoors in, then we would be keen to hear your story with a view to making a programme about this if we receive interesting contributions.

All replies will be acknowledged, and we look forward to hearing from you.

No, no spamming going on here! We are genuinely looking for contributors for the new series, which begins next Friday, and runs until November. Of particular interest to us at the moment is a feature on houseplants, and we are looking to find a real character somewhere in the UK who has a house full! Or a conservatory, porch, etc.

So Gardeners World starts next Friday,that IS good news Craig........any chance of a bit of inside info,or is that more than your jobs worth lol.

 

I do know someone who fits the bill perfectly! He's a little eccentric.........

I'll ask him anyway, but I'm pretty sure that the answer will be no. Which is a shame as we'd love to have a nose around his house!!

If I was Don, Klein, Titchmarsh and all those others I would be worried now that the BBC have found GC. This season we could have a raft of 'new' hosts. Imagine Friday evenings spent in the company of Searchfield, Mr 'Dai the Plant', Armandii and Marley Farley with international reports from Penny in Ontario. I could put myself forward as the slightly less knowledgeable but easy on the eye presenter in the same way as the nice young man whose name escapes me from CountryFile and the One Show. I have no contractual obligations and my Mother always said I had a face for radio.
