My spring plants are starting to grow

My tulips all seem to be appearing but the leaves seem to be eaten - see attached pics

Is there a bug in my soil

What might be cause of this and cures

It only seems to be happening in some parts of the garden

    Thoughts?>

    Thanks

Baby slugs i would have thought. Over the past few weeks its been a lot warmer and they live in the soil until spring when they pop out.

Same as mine. But a few have bloomed, so they don't look THAT bad.. but still, it is annoying seeing them with holes all over the show.

What i do, is treat with slug pellets from now until April. This seems to keep the slugs back for the rest of the year. Its not for everyone though.
