      :DOH: That is sad to see Graham as they were quite a good size & like Scotkat says.. Garden history... No accounting for some peoples ideas.. So what have they made way for then.?

      Hi,
      Whats the thinking behind the Red Dwarf Berberis ? The colour is excellent but those thorns a vicious. Im planning my hedge about my patio and went for Box but the Berbaris looks good. Worried about the thorns though :rolleyespink:

      the beds will become partere (might of spelt that wrong) beds with berberis thunbergii autopurprea nana, as a low hedged edging, hebe pinguifolia sutherlandii to fill two diagional beds, another low growing but differant coloured flowered hebe for the other beds then a standard rose (possibly winchester cathedral) as a centerpiece.:rolleyespink:
