I to am also excited at the prospect of it back on our screen's, the trouble is we know what the BBC is like, we got the Olympics this year and every time there is a sporting event or Wimbledon they whip it off of our screens to air sport, mind you sometimes they do and hour long show to make up for it, and also Birmingham has lost it now to Salford, i will be keeping an eye on Quality Control from now on to see if we are getting value for money as the reason why its gone there is BBC cutbacks.

Salford, wahey. I'm sure Salford will do the show proud, if it's connected to it in any way (Doubt it is, though).

Anyone know if Alan's show is having a 2nd year running?

I know what you mean, but there's no reason now that digital tv is so widespread that they couldn't just move Gardeners World to one of the other BBC channels (because god forbid they moved the sport...)

I am glad it is back, been a long winter
I am sure Salford will do just as good a job if not better
I agree about how annoying it is to have the show pulled at last minute due to an over running sports event
They tend to think that sport is the be all and end all of TV Viewers intelligence
I am sure the reporters and directors of the garden programmes are just as annoyed as we are, but unlike US they can not make a verbal opinion, like most employees

There is a lot more work involved producing a Garden prog than there
is sticking a highly paid has been sportsman, to comment on the pics a camera is picking up on a set sporting fixture

We hand you over to ZACK who last kicked a football around in 1990 at £25k a week, and now retired it is not enough he is a commentator
Tnks Billy well that lot went through the defenders like a Fork thru butter eh
Tommy flicked the ball to Jimmy who missed it but it hit the back of his heed and went in What a tremendous effort for that GOOOOOAAAAAL WHAT A PLAYER

28 programmes last year, 31 this year so an overall improvement. But Dear Gardeners World, please lets have hour long programmes, give gardeners something to watch and enjoy rather than just teasing us.

          Steve...:)

Not in a place where I can watch it, but will check it out soon. Can't wait to see Armandii on there.

You and me, Ziggy, Stars of the Show:biggrin::heehee: I've been to Hidcote a couple of times and it's a wonderful place and the bonus is that right opposite it's gate on the other side of the road is Kiftsgate which is smaller but the vision of whoever created it is tremendous. It's built partly on a steep hill, with a small plateau half way down on which there is a old swimming pool with a Roman folly and a view of the surrounding countryside that is unbelieveable.

I've noticed that our Gardeners World member has not been back on GC, must have scared him off.

We could do the programme Armandii, along with Freddy, Shiney, Kristan & all the other members that are just about to pm me to say i've missed them off the list:snork:

It would have to be more than half an hour in length, Ziggy!!
