    Thanks, for that

But I do clean the puter on a regular bases, and it dumps automatically when I close down, did a systems check and everything is fine (and all other sites load up and run fine) I have cable (and its very fast as well) I run Firefox, I'm no computer geek but can I just suggest its your server?? (ducks for cover)

I'm having the same problem Dopey. Ziggy has suggested you look at my thread. Although I found loading slow on the old site it seems to be worse on this new one and I have to 'X' out at times because the whole site freezes. I'm in consultation with my son at the moment and if I get any feed back from him that's worth passing on I'll let you know. :)

Richard, my other half is using the same network and is having no problems. I'm still yet to tackle mine, I haven't had the time yet, but will keep you posted. :)

It's slow loading with me too. I've made no changes here but the new site loads much more slowly comapred with the last one when things came up in a couple of seconds.
Not a complaint, just an observation.

I have also had significant problems with delayed loading.
I've just uploaded Java and the latest Adobe, following the links supplied by Ziggy.
Too early yet to decide if it's improved.
I may need to reboot to fullt activate the new programmes.

OK. I've rebooted and it does seem to be quicker than previously.
It would appear that uploading Java and latest Adobe may have improved the situation.
The only differential is that currently there are only 11 registered members active. Normally the number is more like 20 - 40. I will need to reconfirm tomorrow, but hopefully this has resolved the issue.

I'm not all that knowledgeable with computers:scratch: , they're just a tool to me. But to to check I was up to date with Java and Adobe I tried down loading them, only to find I'd already got the latest version of Java, and that Google Chrome was using Adobe in connection with me using GC.........not a lot of people know that.:snork:

I don't like Google Chrome. It seems to slow me down. So when I was loading Adobe I opted NOT to activate Google Chrome

I'm lost by all the jargon  but I have a slow broadband (apparently because of where I live) and the new forum doesn't seem any slower than the previous one. Having said that, another forum I belong to (not gardening), which is much busier than this one, runs much faster.

I'm not complaining as I'm not unhappy with the speed of GC.

Which Browser are you using gcc:scratch:? I've used Google Chrome for a reasonable time without any seeming problems. Having said that, I've have not used any other Browser so I haven't got that experience to compare Browsers. Has anyone got thoughts on what would/could be the browser to use??:snork:
