In the covered market in Oxford there is a florist that always sells interesting bulbs.
Last year I got Scadoxus multiflorus and (huge) Hymenocallis festalis bulbs.
    Today I got this...............
    DSC_1760.jpg

It's a tuber for Arisaema speciosum. Good size at 75/80mm for just £2.50.

This is what I should get...................

What a great bargain. So it goes outside in the summer? Then dies down and you dig up the tuber for overwintering frost free? Sounds easy, there must be a catch for something as exotic looking as that.

JWK - no catch! Just grow in a pot and chuck it in the garage for the winter!

I looked for this in a GC on the way home this evening, they had a big range of Taylors bulbs but alas not this one.
