Help unidentified weed!

Thank you, shame I threw hundreds of bulbs in the brown bin on Saturday!

 

Just wanted to revise this thread to say they ARE invasive, they are popping up bleeding everywhere! barely saw any last year - weird, though we only bought the house in June so previous owners probably removed the leaves but not the bulbs. Oh and trunky, thanks so much for your advice, a spades depth is definitely the way to go and the best way to get to the bulbs, I probably would have tried to weed them out with a fork and just got the shoots
