    Hi All,
I dont have a greenhouse so i want to grow cucumber in a pot in the little sun trap at the bottom of the garden in a pot.

Has anyone grown cucumber in a pot on a patio? If so what is the best variety to go for?

    Tahnks in advance
    Rusty

I'd go for a ridge type - these can be grown trailing in the ground or trained and are quite hardy. Market More do very well in our polytunnel though they are prickly type which some folk don't like though we just rub off the prickles and use like 'normal' cucs. Baby ones can be pickled like gherkins.

Another one to try is Cristal lemon or Cristal Apple. These are round Cucumbers about the size of an Apple. I have found they grow better outside than in.
