    Hot news on the BBC.

Kew Gardens have Bluebells that came out last week! Unusually early!

Havent we had this on GC for a while?

Even I have had Bluebells up here for a week - not all of them, but a few.
What's more the BBC showed a swathe of green leaves - no flowers at all.

Haven't seen any here yet, but its been cold (i.e. although sunny the temperatures have been depressed by air from the East I think, maybe that has stretched to London?)

We went to the Garden Centre today (6C and dull when we went in.)
An hour later we left to 1C and lashing down with a rain/sleet mix and windy.
Lots of water on the roads on the way home.
Still, no need to water the garden tonight.

I picked the flower heads off the bluebells growing in my lawn last weekend, I don't want them self seeding before I can dig them out. They're a nuisance! However, I have noticed this last week the wild primroses are starting to bloom. :)

Mine are starting to flower in profusion from the established bulbs i planted a few years ago but the new batch have yet to get going although next year they should really take off. I also put about 150 Triteleia in November which usually come on after the Bluebells have gone - should get a fantastic display from them next year too.
