Scots Pine

    Got some seeds from a Scots pine,
    does anyone know how long they take to germinate please and if there is any thing special to encourage them to grow

    Hi Jiffy

    Put them in the fridge with some damp vermiculite for about 6 weeks if the seeds have not had a chilling time if they have skip the fridge part , then sow then in a pot or tray any compost will do and then cover with gravel , then put in the shade in the garden and just leave alone

    Spruce ps Scotts pine is a relative of mine :loll:

    Ahh the Scots Pine... reminds me of....
    I cut down trees. I eat my lunch.
    I go to the lavatory.
    On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
    And have buttered scones for tea.

      Aaaah- I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK. Has anyone seen the Gerge Harrison Tribute Concert version with Michael Palin et al? Off on a jolly old tangent again. Still, it is a Bank Holiday so perhaps we're allowed.
