Hi all, have a Etruscan Honeysuckle, (I only know that because there is a label on it). It is on a south facing wall, about three years old during which time it has been moved once. My problem is that it has six main shoots growing up to about 12' they are spindly with very few shoots coming off, there are other shoots down near ground level. So I pressume it needs cutting back, so my question is how far back and when is the best time to do it, and does it need a feed of any sort yet. Thank you for your time. Bruce. :thumb:

I would probably remove all growth down to the new shoots you spoke of. I doubt it would do any harm to go for it now, but equally no reason not to wait till early march. The feed I would definatly leave untill early march, its still too cold for the plant to get any benifit now and feed will be leached from the soil by rain.
