I potted up my Canna rhizomes three weeks ago in new MCP. Yesterday I noticed this growth on 2 pots , it looks like pasta shells. What is it :what: - and how do I remove it
PS: Is it Stereum Hirsutum ?
    TIA :blue thumb:

Not that one Harry, looks like Lemon Peel fungus. If the plants not suffering then i'd leave it, might be symbiotic. If it starts to suffer then a proprietry rock & roll fungicide.

Not Jews Ear David, similar shape though.

Jews Ear usually grows on Elder Trees, the Tree Judas reputedly hanged himself from after betraying The Lord. A possible reason for the name, another one could be depreciative, like Jews Meat, a poor subsitute for the real thing.

If you think thats un PC, check out Phallus Hadrianii, proof that God has got a sense of humour:snork:
