Well I bought a climber today out of the pound shop of all places. I thought of you when I bought it Woo.
It is called "Paul's Scarlet" an easy to grow climber - a beautiful, sweetly scented red rose with masses of semi double flowers.
It says I can plant it Jan to May or Sept to Oct. Well, for a pound I have nothing to lose and it looks very healthy so I will try my luck.

That's my type of rose Woo. it looks beautiful. I have only lost a pound if it dies. When do you think I should plant it? It will be going against a fence to add some colour and cover.

I had better tend it lovingly :lollol:

Hi Woo, After soaking the roots for two hours I planted it-the soil was lovely, all dark and very "soft" presumably the winter has broken it up?
I even managed a bit of weeding before my hands froze!!
