        Oh dear John,
I 'm sorry but I have none left now. I saved 6 for myself and planted them on 27/2/2012 however, they have NOT germinated.:cry3:I did everything I could think of to try and coax them into germination. Heat, in a clear bag, sun, shade but NO. I checked in the pots a few days ago and - nothing. A failure I'm afraid. I sent some seeds to Kristen and LongK. I will aks them if they have had any luck.
        regards,
        Jenny namaste

They didn't seem THAT hard to me, but I've only got 1, and maybe a second, out of he (from memory) 5 seeds you kindly sent me.

Maybe they have got hot / damp / something else since you stored them? and thus viability is decreased.

I stuck them in a small seed tray, with a clear plastic lid, using by normal JI seed sowing compost, and put them on the heated propagator base.

Aaah. I don't have a heated propogator so I expect thats what it was? I am happy to accept that as the reason. Thank you Kristen.

I`ll skip the smutty comments. Can`t afford to get banned from here

        Stolen from an American site.

Appears you must soak the seeds first.

Clitoria ternatea is one of the most amazing plants for hanging basket culture that I have grown. The plant blooms in only 6 weeks from seed. Even though its origins are unknown, it is probably native to Asia according to Hortus.
Blooming Time: All year long; Flowers are solitary, bright deep blue with light yellow markings to 2 inches long by 1½ inches wide.
Culture: Clitoria ternatea like a rich, moist soil (2 parts peat moss to 1 part loam to 1 part sand or perlite). Keep the soil evenly moist at all times. It needs intermediate temperatures, but it stands up well to our hot Oklahoma summer temperatures. Butterfly pea needs full sun to partial shade, it likes to be shaded from the hot afternoon sun. The plants tend to get leggy very quickly, so pinching helps to keep it bushy.
Propagation: Clitoria ternatea is propagated from seed and by cuttings. To start seeds, soak in water 3-4 hours before sowing. Seeds germinate in 7-14 days. Cuttings root readily in moist sand or vermiculite.
