Well 11 and 3/4 actually. Its the National Trusts new check list of things everyone should try to do before they are 12. Mostly fairly mild and innocent, but how did they sneak in item 16?:runforhills:

but anyway, with the exception of burying someone in the sand, which I think is a bit naughty, I think I've done all of the things on the list, and had done before I was 12, so I guess I'm ok. What about everyone else?

Burying someone in the sand was a bit later though.

Since they haven't included a list of things not to do - I'm seriously thinking of sending them my own. It's only short, containing as it does, a single entry .....

Do not - at any time - buy a bowl of soup from the National Trust tea shop at South Foreland Lighthouse, Kent. £6.50!! :thud:

I did pretty much most of those things, aint touching snails though:eeew:

Looking at some of those things, one might think that the Health And Safety Executive would have something to say:nonofinger::catapult:

Ooo snails are quite nice, you collect them and put them in a box of sawdust for a week
Then you gently fry in Garlic butter mmmnn nice,
We used to collect them around the dockyard in Gibraltar

No refererence to a rope swing from a tree bough ?

Good point, I never noticed that omission. The tarzi is not just something for the list, it is a staple of childhood.
