Hi Peri, yes isn't it great.. I don't think we can do enough at present.. There are so many in distant outlying areas, tiny communities that still have seen no aid no press no nothing..!! I wonder what it can be like for them.. Most of what is reported is around P au P..
People are going to be traumatised by this as well.. As for the children & adults alike pulled from the rubble.. Do you ever get over something like that..??? It is a really mammoth situation that is not going to go away in a hurry.......
It is wonderful to see people still being pulled alive from the rubble.. Even yesterday..!!

These people are allot tougher than us.. Most of them live on what we would call a subsistence diet anyway so their bodies are not used to eating etc like us & definitely not used to the same huge amounts of junk & ready prepared food.... They cannot afford it anyway.. The poverty there is frightening anyway before all this happened..!!

Have only just seen this posting today, Marley. I'm so glad that your friend is safe and it is heart-warming to hear of people still being pulled from the ruins alive.

Yes, the people there are tougher than we are and I am sure that they will pick up and get on with their lives again quicker than we would if we were in the same position.

I doubt that any of them will ever forget the frightening experience of being in an earthquake and losing so many of their family and friends. They will probably put it at the back of their minds, but every time there is a tremor or even a loud noise, they will relive the horror again.
