Thanks Kristen, we'll use something thinner and use the old sleepers as a feature in the garden. I might see a friend or our neighbour if they will cut them into big lumps of different lengths and stand them up somewhere. maybe drill a few holes in for insects.

We're not to stuck for space the garden is 180 feet but the bottom bit where I want the veg plot is about 30 foot ish I think Carl will probably correct me on that lol

Just got alot of work to do on it, get rid of the grass,move a path, take some stumps out so I can plant my soft fruit round the fence and alot of tidying.

I'll put some piccy's up when I've got the soft fruit in

I used old scaffloding boards to make my raised bed, cost me nothing as my father in law works on a building site and they were dumped in a skip.

You phone a scaffolder, and ask for any damaged/old boards, Good old EU they have to ditch them after so many years use, or if a split end
Or you can go online to a reclamation yard
