I have several Rhodo's. I have never seen this problem - sorry.
Do they maintain good leaf colour through the winter and are the flower buds well formed?

    Hi.

I had one that had what sounds like the same thing. It eventually died, but I suspect it was caused by the infamous Vine Weevil. I haven't ever tried to control them as I haven't (apart from the Rhodo) been troubled by them. Apparently, it's the adults that put the 'notches' in the leaves, but it's the grubs (larvae) that do the real damage by chomping through the roots. From what I understand, there are several methods and products that should help. Hopefully someone here may be able to recommend something.

    Cheers...Freddy.

Thanks for that, leaves are slightly yellowed, have used sulphur/ iron suppliments.
Buds are getting big and ready to flower, they seem ok.
What can i use to kill the weevil? are more liely at night, not seen any.
    Thanks

Would it be possible to post pics of the leaves as it may help to identify the problem? :)
