Container Tomatoes.

    I have bought a few container tomatoes. They are showing flowers already. I'm growing them inside as I don't have a greenhouse. I understand it needs to be warm outside before putting them out. If my plants have flowers already on them, how do I pollinate them with insects? Especially when it's still 4-6 oC outside here.

    Give the flowers a gentle shake.

    You're right, its not the best weather for putting things out.

    Thanks Ziggy. After posting I found other posts regarding shaking the flowers :D Sounds like fun. Maybe I should get my 11month old daughter to give them a shake LOL!!

      Its more the "plant" rather than the "flowers" so to speak. I just "drum" my fingers in the main stem so that there is vibration in the plant, and that does the trick :blue thumb:
