Actually by her usual standards Carol looked quite understated last night. She appeared to be dressed for a rather frumpy wedding. :heehee: I enjoyed the coverage; they must have read our comments about last year's programmes, as they seemed to be focussing more on plants and gardens and less on 'slebs'.

The Chelsea flower show on TV is about all we've got so I get it on planner to make sure I don't miss any of it. I scroll through all the TV channels often to see if any gardening programs are due but they are few and far between so I make the most of Chelsea.
Yes the gardens are 'out there', some of them are 'out there but I don't where' ! But there can be plants spotted never seen before, an idea you never thought of before, I find lot's of inspiration.
Planner is on for todays episodes :)

They said last night that Chelsea is available on the red button any time after 12 noon.

If you mean the dusky pink one, it's 'Dame de Coeur'

problem with most of those gardens at Chelsea, is that they are designed to be at their peak right now ....

looks good for 3 weeks to 1 month, then looks rubbish for 11 months of the year (there are a few exceptions though)

Yes I am pleased as well that Chris and the Furzey Garden got a nice Gold,it was well deserved:biggrin:

I really did think though that Carol was going to trip over those large bell bottoms last night and she could hardly walk in them:snork:Are bell bottoms back in fashion,or has Carol been visiting the charity shops again?:snork:

I love watching it on the telly {and recording it}because i love seeing all those perfect gardens and it is nice to see what new plants are coming out.It is only once a year so i am quiet happy to enjoy it from the comfort of my home.We went to it one year and thought it good then but don't know whether i could stand the crowds, not to mention the strain on me bunions and corns for all those hours:snork:

I was watching the coverage the other day when Alan Titchmarsh was in that garden with the turquoise blue pool and the orange flowers in the planting, and he said in a very sniffy way, 'who would put tangerine and turquoise together?!" I would. That's what I love about Chelsea, something for everyone. (That obviously includes the presenters.)
