Hi I think a butterwort I have grown before many moons ago I used to keep water in the saucer and never water from the top also a layer of moss round the top would help as well

Are you using rain water ??

Is it kept indoors on a window sill ?? or greenhouse I have feeling they dont like direct sun on the leaves (hotest part of the day 12.00 till 2.00) plus they like fresh/cool air not hot and dry , how long have you had it for.

They do make good windowsill plants but take in to account what i have said above

      Hope this helps a little

Thank you yes on window sill, had about a month. Will do as you say and move from window sill. Is it easy to grow from a leaf or some other way.

You can keep on the window sill but make sure the plant is sitting in a tray of rain water during the summer in winter you just keep moist this plant is grown from off sets (babyplants that the original plants produces or seeds) not from leaf cuttings you will just be waisting your time also try not to touch the leaves as this is how by collecting flies etc it makes its food plus rememeber no plant food or you will kill it , and if its very sunny just move out of the way or a piece of paper attached to the glass will diffuse the light .
