For The Hollyhock Growers

    How big are your Holllyhocks at the moment?
    I have 2 which are growing really slowly and are around 10inches high but im sure they should be bigger by now.

    Yes, mines about 2 foot I would say! It is there first year too. New roots in the spring. :)

    Yes it's the first year for mine too. Can't wait to see what colour they will be.

    Mine is about the same but its getting overgrown atm by a lavatera, i dont care though coz its got rust on it so will dig it up soon and bin it.

      That reminds me too, i have a "Black" one ready to go in which is about 10" at the moment in the pot. I'll not let it flower this year depending on how tall it reaches to give the roots a chance to establish as i lost the previous one last year.

      Mine are supposed to be black aswell, and also about 10 Inches tall. I grew it from seed and cannot find the packet, does anyone know what the spread is?

      You'll not let it flower!? wow you must be a patient gardener. I wouldn't be able to wait another 12months.
