Well, it may be raining and blowing outside but there is another path into my garden, where you won't get wet, Jenny. So, at your request, the gate is open and you're more than welcome to have a stroll around the garden.....just don't drink drink all the wine though:snork: You've caught me in the middle of up loading some more pics into Photobucket and resizing them for GC, but if I can I'll put some in on this amble around.

Through the gate and you're there, Jenny.

You can sit here if you want to, just cover your glass of wine in case there's a bird sitting on a branch above you......it has happened to me, so you've been warned:heehee:

There are other things that can climb above you!! My cat Jenny on the top of the trellis entrance spying out the land!

Hope you enjoyed the stroll, find the arbour and finish that wine in peace.

I've had to give some sown plants away, Joolz, as I had so many in quantity beyond my needs, although the number of varieties has worked well. I had several hundred foxgloves which I had to throw away about 50 due to running out of friends to give them to and space in the garden....so I've got several pairs of mucky jeans in the washing basket due to kneeling for what seemed like days and days searching for any bare bits of soil to plant the seedlings. Luckily, a lot of the early annuals had finished so I pulled a lot out and got some more space that way. So, all in all, I seem to have planted everything. The only thing now is to try and find summer places for the 18 Cannas,4 Palms, 3 Bananas, Orange, Lemon, Kumash bushes, Lilies, and herbs that are in pots.....not sure if they're all going to go where I want them:scratch:

Yep, so next year, Joolz, while I'll probably get the same number of varieties, with one or two differences, I'll be more reticent with the number of seeds I sow. I haven't had all that many disappointments although a hardy perennial black flowered Geranium failed to germinate whatsoever........but I'll try again, as I fancy having that particular one.:snork:

                  Thank you so much Armondii,
after a week on the dark side of the moon it was even more special than it usually is.
The perfume from that Philadelphus. I can still smell it this morning,

Well, the garden is open to all for free, Hydro, I just hope visitors from GC won't be disappointed:snork: A fresh loaf of bread is always welcome though, Jenny:thumbsup::heehee:

Hi, Pootle, good to hear from you. The white flowered plant next to the Allium is one that appeared a few years ago that Silver Surfer kindly identified as Hesperis matronlis. It's not a plant that I have, to my knowledge, introduced but I think it probably came in carried by a bird. It's an early annual that, as you can see, gives a fair amount of nice scented flowers and balances well with Honesty which also shows up early in the borders. I pull both out when they're spent but it doesn't stop them from reappearing again every year:snork:

The gate I built many moons ago out of scrap wood in an attempt to keep the Grandchildren from getting into the pond area without supervision, but they have always been in the garden with a grown up watching just to make sure.
. As you can see it's broken, leaning and slowing falling apart. I have to be careful when opening it as it is beginning to show signs of fragility. If you remember I had suggested a while ago that I was going to replace it but got voted down by you guys!!! I agree it does add an atmosphere to the area, but that was not deliberate, and it has been fashioned by time. So it stays until it falls apart which, if I'm careful, won't be for some years yet.:love30:

I love the kitten, Joolz:cat-kittyandsmiley: My cats would love it and mother it no doubt.:wub2: It looks like it has all the makings of being a bit of a character!!!
