Are you sure it isn't spam Pam.? Have you tried marking them as spam as I assume they are coming into your in box.?Just mark as spam & then delete then empty your spam folder, don't open them..!
That should stop them.. Lots of spammers try stuff like that...
Either that or start a new email address & don't use that one any more...

Hotmail is an absolute pain for getting hacked.

If you really must use hotmail, change your password every other week or use a very secure one. What I like to do is take the first line of a song, use the first letter of each word and stick some numbers in the middle. For example; the song 'fly me to the moon' would be Fmttm12345Almsats. Never guessable :) Get the idea :ideaIPB:

Or use the address that your isp provides e.g. [email protected] or whatever. Much more secure than hotmail.

Yes Hotmail is notorious, even if you close down your account and delete all your address book in there they still hack it and use it. you can write to them, tear your hair out and still they will send them. You need a good junk filter.

PS Let those in your address book know that you have been hacked and tell them not to open any attachments to files supposedly sent by you as it them that are dangerous as virus carriers.:)

I had this a short while ago, hadn't used hotmail in a long time and a mate got in touch to say he was getting odd emails, so I signed in and sure enough there were alot of undelivered mail and a shed loads of emails sent.

Changed password and all good.....for now.

I actually use Skype instead of hotmail chat, I find it far better, quicker and lighter on the system. More and more people are switching to it these days, and if you do video chat it's much, much better too.

As I work overseas a lot, I use skype all the time when I`m away. When using a headset, the calls are so much clearer and of course, free to other skype users.

Windows Live is easy to hack if you have simple answers to your security questions (it happened to a mate of mine). All a hacker needs is a robot and an easy target and whammo - email infected.

              First thing, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD

then it should be fine:) oh and I'd also change al your other passwords linked to that account (so if you have online banking etc.)
