I'm a bit chuffed. I have 2 apples on one tree and 3 apples on the other tree. Well they look like they are going to be apples anyway. Each tree has around 8 branches and all the apples are only on one branch on each tree.

'Chuffed' I am not  There is now no sign of my 5 apples ! There are small broken white tips where they used to be but no sign of them. I've looked around the base of the trees, nothing ! My only thought is blackbirds? I had at least 2 nest fulls in the hedges this year and they are tucking into my strawberries, so how likely is it to be them ?
The leaves on these trees are still not looking too good and I don't have friends who have apple trees to compare them to. Perhaps they need replacing?
