Is this a normal bee?

    Hi,
    I dont know wether anyone here can help me or point me in the right direction for and ID.
    I have this bee coming in my garden, only ever 1 bee i think its the same one constantly back and fore. my hubby thinks there are more but ive never seen more than one at the same time. bee photo.jpg

      Looks like a Honey Bee rather than a Bumble Bee I think.. :SUNsmile:

      Its too hairy for a honey bee , it will be the same one coming back for food , pity you didt have a face shot.

      Will check to see what it could be , lots of diffrent mason bees ?? was it bumble in shape ? the foraging bumble bees can be quite small compared to the Queen at this time of year

      Good point there Spruce, don't have a pic of a Masonry Bee in my book.

      hi all,
      thanks for your comments, i did try to search for some kind of bee with 5 black stripes but came up with nothing, i also have a bee book but no clue in there either, which is why i thought i would ask for help
      Size wise he isnt quite as big as a bumble but bigger than a honey bee i think,
      Spruce i have tried to find a face shot form a video i took of him a few weeks ago, not sure if it will help you any? bee 2 photo.png
