It's so frustrating Clueless, but it doesn't bother me now I haven't had a television for 18 months. :)

I know you might think it's not so, but the real SE bit of the country rarely gets a mention on national forecasts.
We are considered to be part of London so any temps you might see in the SE are actually central London.
I guess its almost impossible to mention every part of the country, and the spoken part is mostly drivel anyway.
So its best to turn the sound off and just watch.

Agreed, Pete, although Chatham and Maidstone sometimes get an honourable mention in the regional forecasts.

Possibly Clare, in the regional, but if they didn't it would be very strange.

Not sure where Gravesend keeps it thermometer:biggrin:

It's the best thing we ever did Hydro. Apart from the odd documentary there was nothing worth looking at and if you put that against the price of the licence it was a rip off!

Apart from the garden and housework, I DIY, read and spend time out with my camera. In the evenings I'm on the computer (GC of course) or my DS. There's plenty of other things to spend my time on as well as getting out and about.

The simple life is the best one...........no other distraction needed!

The BBC always overlook the island not only weather wise but with the news as well unless something drastic happens here which is rare. On the other hand the ITV give us a forecast albeit brief. :)

          Hi Sheal,
I would love to see the stars at night. Its fantastic -the longer you look the more of them you can see.
Here is to much light, no way of seeing much...

Here in Shineyland we are lucky enough to see fantastic starscapes when it's clear - although there are three street lights in two miles of road. I sometimes just stand out there looking at the sky :dbgrtmb:

Even the glow on the horizon from the airport doesn't affect the view much as the glow is only visible when it's cloudy (light reflecting off the cloud).

Most of the road and all the street lights are out here by midnight, so if you need to walk anywhere you have to take a torch at it's pitch black. :)
