I wasn't all that enamoured with any of them this year, but Joe was the best singer no doubt. I was watching the snooker finals so missed it.

I'm sorry if I caused offence, that certainly wasn't my intention. My posts are sometimes meant tongue in cheek, as harmless banter.

I'm not sure which bit of my post caused offence. If it was the bit about X-Factor being mental torture, that's just my view, but I appreciate a lot of people like it (including my wife) and that's fair enough. Each to their own. If it was the North/South thing, that's just banter.

Once again, I appologise for any unintended offence caused. Please don't stop coming here on my account, you make a very positive contribution to the forum.

marley i quite agree with you why ruin my thread and iff someone doesnt like these programmes dont say a word keep it to yourselves.
jazmine i liked staceys voice she will surely go places and so will olly and my favourite joe hes definately got the best voice he seems to be able to sing all different songs, they will be going mad in south shields when he goes home.

Lovely thread Rosa:thumb:,I must admit though to not watching it much and only found out about Susan Boyle last year when Mr Kandy came home from work and everyone was talking about her and he found her on You Tube for me to listen to.:) Did you watch the programme about her last night? I am so glad that she has done well for herself considering the bullying she was subjected to when she was at school and throughout her life due to her learning disabilities and I do hope she has many more years of happiness and singing ahead of her:D

I will have to have a listen out for the lad from up your way,as no doubt it will be the Christmas number 1 as per normal:D

hi Rosa, yes Joe McElderry deserved his win on the X FACTOR!.
the young lad was the most consistent competitor throughout the whole competition!.
viewing figures of 20 million, that is amazing:cool:. yes i watch the X FACTOR and other shows of that ilk ,as i am interested in new TALENT . it is a great thing now to have an audience of that magnitude at your fingertips!. personally i was involved in the musical circuits for years (gigs here ,gigs there) audiences ranged from 100 to 300 per gig ,six days a week . good luck to the young talent that can get an audience of 20 million in one night!!!!
i am still involved ,as i have two grand daughters who have taken to the stage , singing/dancing,modern/ballet/jazz . one is now in the( glasgow royal school of ballet).
of which i am very proud. so as i say the best of luck to the young talent of today .

IF YOU HAVE GOT IT FLAUNT IT!!. MUSIC.
