Grateful for ID of shrub/tree

    Most grateful for any ID that can be provided for this tree/shrub self seeded in my garden! Can't find it in any book or website.

    It stands about 8ft high at present.

    Hi, looks like a green leaved form of Cotinus (Smoke bush)...:)

    Bilbo is correct a very rampant Cotinus

    Thanks for info. If it's rampant do you think it should be pruned back?

    It can be pruned back quite hard in mid-late spring and it will produce larger leaves when it re-grows..:blue thumb:
