Fred the shred, bob diamond and that financially inept baffoon ( I like that word I don't use it nearly enough) Gordon brown should really be arrested for crimes against the British people an locked up in the tower while Simon cowel reads his auto biography to them on an endless loop!

why is he not in prison? .... (or on bail until a court hearing) ....

perhaps it's because of all the money they give as backhanders to those in power/parliment?

    i love his leaving statement!

"The external pressure placed on Barclays has reached a level that risks damaging the franchise - I cannot let that happen."

Nothing to do with whats going on internally then Bob, no?

"i can not let that happen" oh how selfless sacrificing yourself for the good of others saint Bob of barclays he thinks he is the terminator when he lowers himself into the liquid steel to save mankind!

The Serious Fraud Office, whoever they are, are now on the case. Criminal charges are being mentioned. Its about time.

smokescreens just to keep the public 'sheeple' happy

why is diamond still walking free and why is it that he will get a 20 million payout??

its all BS .... the bankers have the politicians in their pockets .... they play golf together and socialize and the bankers finance the politicians

After resigning in shame, Bob Diamond will get over £2 Million quid, for doing nothing at all.

              http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-18779089

He's resigned, but as he has a 6 month notice period in his contract, he'll get loads of salary plus benefits:scratch:

I have a one month notice period in my contract. If I walk out tomorrow, I'm in breach of contract and would actually lose a chunk of my salary. Its a funny old world.

Oh, but there is one consolation. Bob Diamond wont now be getting is bonus, of around £20 Million quid. How on earth does anyone earn a bonus worth £20 million? That's so far beyond insanity that's its done several laps and now its hard to tell whether its sanity or insanity. Most of us will work hard all our lives and even if we get really lucky, wont ever earn £20 Million quid full stop, never mind in one bonus.

If we all took our money out of barclays tomorrow where would they find £2 million I wonder. Do you think they'd have the cheek to ask for a bail out just to pay Bob?

he will be 'pampered' like Tony Howard from the BP oil spill

he has just been paid £12 million for an Iraqi oil venture ...

                  http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2012/jan/20/former-bp-boss-iraq-oil-venture

Diamond will 'dissapear' from public interest for a short while, then will make more money when everyone has forgotten
