I have 2 branches, one broken by Jackdaws:mad: and one from a container knocked over by wind last week. i'm wondering if anyone knows if it is worth trying to propagate from these. I'm OK with seeds and standing in water and i know how to do delphiniums but that's about it, I'm not good at trees and shrubs.
The first is Campsis, it is a good sized branch broken off at a branch node from the main stem, I've put it in water pending advice and it looks healthy so far.
The second is a branch from a Forest Pansy [Cercis canadensis], a branch broken in the middle of stem but several smaller branches on the broken bit. I've put this in a bucket of water and it isn't wilting yet.
    Hoping someone can help.:help:

If they are 'hardwood' branches then I wouldn't hold out much hope of them taking, but if there are softwood parts to them then it's worth detaching these (with a heel if possible) and giving them a go. I'd be inclined to start them off in pots of soil using rooting powder. :)

I thought i might as well try! The Forest pansy is older growth but the Campsis is this year's shoot.
