Male, Female or Unspecified?

Sorry, FC. It's just that, having brought up two little boys, I know that they delight in being as gross as possible. Actually, they're not so different now they're big boys. 'Clearing the room' is still a matter of not inconsiderable pride.

I agree . If i was talking to somebody in a bar or in the street i would not have to try to second guess if they are male or female (depending on which bar i was in). When i first joined this site there were a lot of users who i could not work out from there posts if they were male or female and in some cases i drew the wrong conclusions and it was not untill i was on my 1000th post or more i actually was informed they were male when i thought they were female - which is a little embarassing for both parties i think. Also if i mistaken a women for a man in the street or what have ya, i would imagine she would be a little upset about it, and i know if anybody on here ever mistaken me for a woman i would be quite unhappy about that too!

Another thing is, just because i would like to know everybodies gender, does not mean that i want to try to date them For that we would need to know their sexuality too, but i tend to treat men a little bit differently from women as at the end of the day we are very different biologically, i try to be a little more gentle in my aproach with females as thats polite, how can you be a gentleman if you dont know gender? Its not like, say for example skin colour or origin which should not matter what so ever if Clare was insisting we all be forward about our skin colours then i mite be concerned.

A true gentleman would treat either gender with exactly the same degree of common courtesy, respect and decency. Only once we get a bit more familiar can we then gently approach the subject of what might have happened in the shower.

 

I wasn't shocked by what Clara said. She(with respect Clara) throws the odd googly now and then and I like that.
I'm sure she didn't mind me asking her how she knew and I'm sure FC took it all in the (post watershed) spirit that was was intended.
I feel pretty certain that Clara is a female and that FC is a male.

If me not offering to carry a mans bag for him when he is not struggling is less gentlemanly, then yes. And i know these things dont arise on a forum i just dont see why it should be any different on here.
