Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this peach tree. It is about 5 years old but was only planted in the ground last summer having outgrown the tub it was in. It is planted in a sunny area and the soil is clay but has been well dug with compost added. I wont try to describe the problem but from the pics you will see all is not well. Surprisingly it still has fruit on it but only about 5 of them and they look ok.

Its peach leaf curl Nigel, never found a cure myself, although text books come out with a few remedies.
Its kind of put me off bothering growing peaches these days.

Like pete said, it's a disease called leaf curl. It happens due to a long spell of rain and cold spring/summer. It's caused by a certain fungus. It happens to my peach tree every year. I know there are some ways to prevent it, but I let it alone 'cause I don't want to use chemicals in my garden.

All you can do is to remove the affected leaves and burn or bin them.
