Bought one of the Ensetes from Morrisons myself, plenty to choose from, some were just 12" or so tall but I come away with over 24" and it has grown quite a bit since then :dancy:

Bilbo, went to Morrisons in Weymouth for some holiday essentials and came out with a green Ensete:biggrin:, perfect condition and and good value £5. they only had three and this was the best like yours about 24" in the pot, now in a large pot so it won't dry out while we are away.

Bargain ...Went into Wilkinsons and the plants were looking a little worse for wear. So asked a member of staff to apply a discount,to which he did.
Bought 2 hostas that were originally £5.00 each for only a £1.00 each and a Cordyline originally £3.48 down to 50p !!! :dancy:

Nice, if you don't ask you don't get

We went into Wilkos today and my wife saw a cushion (not gardening related I know :snork:) that she liked on the sale shelf but it had no price on it, it looked a quality one, so she took it to the till to ask when we paid for our other shopping and the cashier asked if there were anymore, there wasn't it was the last one, no code on it etc, so she said take it for free!!!!!!, Happy Days :snork::dancy:

Went to our local nursery to choose a suitable soil for my wallflower seedlings. The John Innes No.2 looked perfect but they only had an open bag left (they display an open bag at the front of every compost on sale), so I asked a staff member in they had any more in store. She looked, said "no, sorry - but you can have that one 1/2 price".
YAY!! £2 :dbgrtmb: It really is lovely stuff,
