I went out in the garden this afternoon around 1.00pm as it was quite sunny to clear some leaves, I managed to three-quarters fill the green bin. I then did a bit of weeding and tidying up and general messing about (as you do) and was finished by 3.30pm.
I went and had a shower, but afterwards I was "tempted to put on my jimjams" rather than get dressed, it was so dark!

understand the feeling i hate the long dark nights. my wife is worse than me .we have our evening meal around 6 o clock
and she has her jimjams on!.we watch the telly she has her programmes to watch
i watch the football/nature programmes on my telly till about 8 o clock then i go on line. if it was summer we would both be in the garden (me working ,she sitting ) with her gin and tonic topping up her suntan  music.

I haven't been able to go out into the garden for weeks because of the constant rain. However, we have a dry day forecast for tomorrow, so I will dash out there first thing and get stuck in while I have the chance. Hopefully, it will be light a little longer without heavy cloud cover. The shortest day is only a couple of weeks away and then we'll be able to look forward to Spring.
