Grasses?

    Last year I bought some grasses for the front garden(first photo), this year these grasses have grown in their place(second photo)...
    Are they weeds?

    Depends on your definition of weed ,I grow rushes in my garden ,I love my corkscrew grass :th scifD36:

    I love that one as well. Juncus effusus spiral.
    But draw the line on the plain one, which is invasive and hard to get rid of.
    With very strong roots when I try to pull it up.

    Got a "Japanese Horsetail" ,that seems to be a little on the invasive side :oopss:

    I think the first one is a hakonechloa- japenese hakon grass[​IMG]
