Cleared some of my annuals that have finished and they had next to no roots at all, I'm surprised they stayed alive. Which leads me to think that once again all the rain we've had was to blame, there was no need for them to 'dig deep' for water.

I've sown seeds in pots, watered/fed tomatoes and cucumbers in the greenhouse and watered pots around the garden.

Chopped back my Dicentra bleeding heart and some of my Laverta Frederique as it was all over the path. Collected seeds from Cosmos, Calendula and Marigold, watered pots and fed toms and peppers then sat back and enjoyed watching the bees on my verbena bonarisis.

Belatedly dug up some fushcias and moved them to the other side of the garden to make room for some new plants.
              Hope they will keep going!
Binned a couple of geraniums and French marigolds.
Planted in there place a brunnera jack frost, heuchera purple palace, astilbe bressingham beauty and heuchera Citronelle
Still deciding on whether to move the grasses in the border or wait a little longer
Need to get the crocosmia, irises and Daylillies in! :snork:

I sympathise re the noisy neighbours Kaz. My neighbours behind me have had speakers installed on the outside wall and every time we have half decent weather they blast their music out. I complained to Environmental Health last year and it did get better for a while but started again this year, so have emailed EH again to have a word

People don't realise what an awful impact it has on your life.

I love all of that too Mowgley, great pictures, although if it were me I would be growing some veg in the grass plot :)

To day I am just thinking about going to pick some more blueberries.

Its blowing here and heavy showers, so a bit soggy underfoot.

Sorry you have noisey neighbours Kaz, it must be awful. I just love to hear the birds singing and bees buzzing when I am in the garden.

It seems that most of us have clampett neighbours.
Mine are the same age as us but worlds apart!
Our previous neighbours were brilliant. Used to swap plants and veg which we had grown and general chit chat.
They had to move because she started with bad arthritis.
When she told us where they were coming from we just knew straight away what type of people they were going to be. :gaah:
The garden went from beautiful to a s*it hole in less than 3 months
We used to get the loud music at night till I went round one night at 2 in the morning and dragged him outside.
It was getting ridiculous with a 3 year old trying to get to sleep.
They only play it loud in the day now when I'm not in according to other neighbours.
