Rye bread

Does anyone know if there are any bakers that make loaves from rye please.

 

Waitrose sell a lovely loaf which is called Wheat 'N' Rye Quarter, that is made from a mix of wheat flour and rye sourdough. Not sure if that really answers your question though.

Thanks Eddie. I should have pointed out that it needs to be wheat free please. My stomach is struggling to cope with bread made from wheat now.

I've often wondered how Organic Rye is screened for Ergot fungus, must be treading on dangerous ground there. Unless they spray all rye & you just can't get organic???

Scrub the last post Ziggy, I take back what I said, a senior moment kicked in and I misread what you'd written. I missed the word 'don't' in your post.

 

A simliar thing happened to a certain member on Facebook, he was talking about a Crane fly flying into his Mrs's face & his mate missed reading the word fly & thought a Crane had hit her

 

Sheal, I cannot eat wheat bread (cannot swallow) so only eat bread made with rye and corn or good wholemeals.

 

certainly you can get it in Denmark - likely in Eastern european shops such as Russian or Lithuanian.
